7 Things That Scream Halloween

September 1st, 2015     Posted By

If you’re anything like the team here at Clubcrawlers, the idea of autumn is getting you excited about one special holiday (yes, we’re talking about Halloween 2015)! Although the time of pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating has been replaced with barely-there costumes and a multitude of Halloween events and parties at various Toronto nightclubs,  that doesn’t mean we don’t miss all of those nostalgic holiday items from our childhood. Here are 7 things that will forever scream Halloween!

1) Rocket Candies

These classic candies seemed to only appear during the month of October. Even to this day no Halloween stash is complete without dozens of these sweet little candies.

2) Halloween TV Special’s

Leading up to the spooky holiday, all our favourite TV shows had awesome Halloween themed specials. Whether is was Scooby-Doo, Casper or Charlie Brown, there was sure to be a fun episode to get us excited for Halloween night!

3) Corn Mazes

Getting lost in the corn maze was always a awesome tradition during the Fall season. Nothing screams Halloween like creepy corn mazes at a spooky farm!

4) Spooky Wagon Rides

Spooky wagon rides were always a thrilling part of Halloween! The bumpy rides through the dark forests getting chased by all types of scary characters throughout the forest is a classic childhood experience and enjoyed by people of all ages.

5) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Costumes

Nothing is more nostalgic then the iconic and classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Costume. If your a child of the 90’s, you remember the phenomena that was TMNT. If you yourself never wore one, you definitely know someone, a sibling, neighbour or friend who did. This nostalgic costume is making a come back with the release of the new version of the movie. Ah, the memories.

6) Pumpkin Patches

Spending a weekend afternoon at the pumpkin patch is a Halloween memory we can all relate to. Your parents would take you to pick out the perfect pumpkin, you’d buy some pumpkin pie or pumpkin flavoured treats and play on the tractors or pose with the scarecrows. Anytime you drive by a pumpkin patch this season, let the nostalgia take over.

7) “The Monster Mash”

We think this one speaks for itself. Enjoy!
