Summer vibes go hand in hand with festival vibes. Music festivals in Toronto are the place to be for hanging out, listening to music and dancing the day/night away. Whether you’re into electronic raves or hip-hop and rap, there’s a music festival for your preferred jams.
Rave the day and night away to a variety of electronic music at VELD. This years’ artists include Martin Garrix, Migos, Marshmello and many more. 2018 marks the 7th annual VELD festival and it will once again be held at Downsview Park on August 4th and 5th. Eat Sleep Rave Repeat is the motto.
East Island of Ontario Place (Echo Beach) will be transformed into a music haven for Dreams Festival. Bring out your true electronic music lover at this two-day outdoor music and arts festival on June 23 and 24.
Music isn’t the only thing going on at Field Trip Music and Arts Festival, being held at Fort York Garrison Commons on June 2 and 3. Other festival highlights include food, art, comedy, and fashion. Metric and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a few of the many artists set to rock out on stage. What better way to spend your summer days?
North by Northeast (NXNE) Festival
Yonge Dundas Square will be the spot for the music festival NXNE from June 8-17. The festival will also feature e-sports, comedy, visual art and more.
Who knows what Drizzy will bring out for this years OVO Fest. Every year, Drake never fails to keep the surprise guests coming. Not much info has been let out of the bag yet for this year’s massive hip-hop event.
